Issues
Each aspect of our methodology reflects careful thought about the best way to meet your needs.
Why outsource your research?
As research specialists, we know how to efficiently gather and meaningfully report information.
We know what questions work. We know how to ask them. We know what data collection techniques work. And we know how to effectively summarize results.
Your research is conducted by a firm known for its remarkable insight, impeccable execution, and world-class services. And we have the capabilities to conduct research on a truly global basis.
Additionally, we relieve you of internal costs. These costs are seldom calculated but always incurred. They include:
- the cost of your staff time
- the cost of false starts, re-dos and inefficiencies
- the costs of the opportunities you might miss because you don’t have the tools to meaningfully analyze your results

Why internet research?
The internet is ideal for research. Telephone surveys are expensive and often perceived as intrusive. Mail surveys are slow. And in-person surveys which your sales force might conduct are biased, with only small samples feasible. The only real limiting factor for internet surveys is web access and, in the business to business arena, that is increasingly a non-factor.
We help you conduct your research at a fraction of the cost of comparably effective paper or phone surveys. And we deliver high response rates.
Internet surveys provide high data quality, an opportunity for thoughtful responses, elimination of interviewer bias, and faster turnaround and realtime access to topline results.
We do this with efficiently delivered, precisely targeted, one-to-one web interviews.
At Isometric Solutions, we draw upon the internet research experience of GfK Custom Research Inc., which has used the internet since 1997 to survey business audiences about a range of issues. We’ve fine-tuned e-mail solicitation techniques, survey design, and reporting tools. Ultimately, our web interviews are more respectful of your customer’s time than their paper or phone equivalents. In fact, customers prefer them. And we hold to the highest standards of data privacy. They are permission-based and client-provided. In addition proprietary features such as Complaint Link™ and Contact Link™ empower your customers to engage with you on a one-on-one basis.
In addition, internet delivery means that research is conducted quickly and you have near realtime access to data.

Why a standardized battery?
Because a standard battery contains proven questions. Our experience has shown us that the vast majority of customer satisfaction and loyalty issues are common across industries and best addressed by finely honed, thoroughly tested sets of questions. These questions address the issues of satisfaction, loyalty, competitive choice, and share of business which are common to all businesses and essential for meaningful results.
Of course, we can also help you supplement our standard questions with custom questions.
Additionally, a consistent set of questions lets you develop norms that will help you evaluate:
- your performance improvement over time
- your performance compared to the performance of others

Why ISO-based standards?
As the distillation of serious international thinking about quality, ISO standards are a great starting point for any marketing intelligence program.
When read thoughtfully, they suggest to applicants what they need to do to achieve not simply certification but an increasingly robust, relevant level of quality. They are a framework which can become a platform and, ultimately, a launching pad for attaining increasing levels of competitive performance.
Substantively, the more than 120 “shalls” in the new standards push qualifying companies to an ever higher standard. Specifically, they require a sustained and ever-increasing level of customer satisfaction.
While we use customer-focused ISO standards, we go far beyond ISO requirements to deliver knowledge of your customers – as well as your employees and supply chain partners.
Some of our clients require ISO certification, and we help them get it. We address specific ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 16949:2002 requirements. And we know what auditors are looking for. In fact, we’ve trained them. You can be confident you will satisfy the demands of the examiners in every area we address.
